Helping young people develop their potential

There are many ways the SSP supports pupils to achieve their potential. Pupils in our schools all have different abilities and talents and the partnership aims to provide every pupil with opportunities to develop and challenge them.

Pupils in Vale Royal schools are able to take part in a wide variety of competitions, festivals and performances and in 2008/9 were able to boast one of the highest participation rates in the North West.

The partnership also works with Hartford High School (the specialist sports college) and Cheshire West and Chester Council to implement programmes which cater for targeted groups of young people. These groups include those from high schools with specific talents, talented primary students and those with a learning difficulty or physical disability.
