Year 3+4 Tag-Rugby Festival 11/12/2009 This new festival was held at St. Mary's to coincide with their 'Comenius Project'. A European wide event in which different schools aim to learn from each other how to achieve 'Fun and Friendship through Sport'. The eleven guests stayed four days in Cheshire and visited St Nicholas for a tour and to observe Secondary Physical Education Lessons.
The Rugby festival was a great success! One funny moment was when a pupil ran the full length of the pitch only to realise he was at his own try line. The Sports Leaders did a marvellous job coaching and helping over 100 pupils to compete and most of the time find their tags!
